Winter Writing

writing_letter_1207This time of year can be crazy. Most of your time is probably taken up with various activities from holiday shopping to family gatherings. But there is one thing you should still make time for—your writing. While it might not be easy, there are some ways to squeeze in some writing time during the holiday season.

Make the most of the snow days. As a writer, this is probably a given. When it’s cold and snowing outside, it is a great excuse to stay inside and write.

Write during the downtime on holidays. The quiet moments might be rare during the holidays, but use those times to spend time on your writing. When dinner is in the oven or when your chatty grandma finally decides to take a nap, use that time to get some writing in.

Use your shopping trips as an escape. While you are out getting presents for everyone, take a short break in between stores for a coffee/writing break. Head over to a nearby coffee shop and spend thirty minutes to an hour writing.

So finish off the year with a bang and make December a productive writing month. You’ll feel accomplished and it will help you make 2017 an even better year for your writing!

Jenny and Krystal, you two did an outstanding job correcting my quotes and restructuring many sentences throughout the 307 pages. The final edits will assist Harden's Shadows in reaching our readers with ten generations of promising stories spanning 300 years. You are truly my Author's Editors. It is my pleasure to recommend Pypeline Editing. You provided a thoroughly professional experience for a new author.”
