For those of our loyal readers who may not know, we were fortunate enough to work with our local Susan G. Komen affiliate this year leading up to the Race for the Cure. We wrote survivor stories of women in our area. The task was not only a great reason to write, but an amazing way to meet strong women, share their stories, all while helping to promote an amazing organization.
Pypeline Editing has been supporting Susan G Komen for the past six years. It started in 2009 when we started a team for the Race for the Cure. Ever since, the team members have grown, the money raised has increased and we have ramped up our involvement. This year, like mentioned above, we wrote survivor stories touting some amazing women. Not only did they each share their individual experiences, but they offered advice to those who may perhaps be touched by breast cancer in one way or another down the road. These brave, strong, and at times, humorous women deserved to have their stories shared and we are honored to have been part of it.
For those who may want to read the stories, please do! You can also find them on our Facebook page.
For all those Pypeline Pompoms out there, thank you! You are an amazing team who show up each year in support and spirit. For our other supporters, thank you for donating, sharing the stories and helping promote Susan G. Komen. To the survivors, thank you for sharing your stories and being a beacon of hope and strength for people everywhere. Let’s race for the cure!
