Be Free…Writing

book-with-fireworksIt’s Independence Day, which means we are celebrating our freedom. And we can’t think of a better way to celebrate our freedom than with some free writing.

What is free writing? Free writing is basically writing without second guessing yourself. You write for a set period of time, usually for at least 5-10 minutes. During this time, you keep writing; write whatever comes to mind, even if it doesn’t make sense.

Why should every writer practice free writing? To feel free, of course. Free writing also helps you get your ideas flowing. It can help you get more creative with your ideas or when you feel stuck with whatever you are writing about.

How often should you free write? We recommend free writing at least once a week and any time you are struggling with writer’s block.

How many times are we going to say free writing? We are free to say free writing as many times as we want.

Now that we are all excited about free writing, cue the fireworks!

I am immensely pleased with the work provided by Jenny Perry and Krystal Pyatt of Pypeline Editing. As a first time author, they were in constant contact with me, answering all of my questions, keeping me apprised of where we were in the process at all times, which allowed us to finish ahead of schedule. I look forward to working with them again in the future.”
